Isles is a mobile application operated by Meadow Labs LLC (“Meadow Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Isles helps users scan, search, paste, save, and understand product ingredient information through plain-English ingredient explanations, role tags, product analysis, and related informational signals.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

By using Isles, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information.

Information You Provide

You may provide information directly to Isles, including:

• Product label photos or images you upload or scan
• Ingredient lists you paste or enter manually
• Product names, brand names, searches, notes, and saved products
• Feedback, support requests, emails, or other messages you send us
• Account information, if account creation is offered, such as name, email address, login credentials, or account identifiers

Scan, Product, and Ingredient Data

When you scan, upload, paste, or search for a product, Isles may collect and process information related to that product, including:

• Product name and brand
• Ingredient text extracted from an image or entered manually
• Product category
• Ingredient roles and classifications
• Plain-English ingredient summaries
• Product analysis results
• User-facing verification or confidence signals
• Scan history and saved product data, if enabled

New scans, images, ingredient text, and product information may be added to the Isles database. This allows Isles to improve product coverage, reduce repeated analysis, and make product information available to other users.

Images and Text You Upload

When you scan or upload an image, Isles may process the image to detect and extract ingredient text, identify the product, and generate an analysis. If you paste ingredient text instead of uploading an image, Isles may process that text in the same way.

Images and extracted text may be stored in our systems and may be used to improve the Isles product database, product matching, ingredient analysis, and app functionality.

Purchase and Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription or other paid feature, payment is processed through the applicable app store or payment provider, such as Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or another third-party service.

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card number. We may receive subscription-related information such as subscription status, purchase date, renewal status, cancellation status, app store transaction identifiers, entitlement status, and general purchase history related to Isles.

Usage and Device Information

We may automatically collect information about how you use Isles, including app interactions and feature usage, product searches, scan frequency, saved products, app version, device type and operating system, approximate region or country, crash reports, diagnostics, performance data, log data, and technical identifiers.

Analytics and Diagnostics

We may use analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics tools to understand how Isles is used, fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.

4. AI and Automated Analysis

Isles may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, optical character recognition, natural language processing, and related automated systems to process product images, ingredient text, and product information.

AI-generated or automated analysis may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misinterpreted. Isles is intended for informational use only and should not be treated as medical, dermatological, allergy, safety, legal, or professional advice.

5. Shared Product Database

Isles is designed to improve as users scan and submit products. When you scan, upload, paste, or search for a product, related product data may be added to the Isles database and may become available to other users.

Please do not upload private, confidential, personal, or sensitive information in product label scans or ingredient text submissions.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers and partners such as cloud hosting and database providers; AI, machine learning, OCR, or language model providers; app analytics and crash reporting providers; subscription management providers; app stores and payment processors; customer support tools; and security, fraud prevention, and infrastructure providers.

We may also share information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. If our data practices are considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising activity under applicable privacy laws, we will provide required notices and choices.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Isles, maintain the product database, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and improve the app.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, request a copy, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain data sharing where applicable.
