1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Isles, a mobile application operated by Meadow Labs LLC (“Meadow Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using Isles, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Isles.

2. What Isles Does

Isles helps users scan, search, paste, save, and understand product ingredient information. Isles may provide:

• Ingredient list scanning
• Product search
• Ingredient role tags
• Plain-English ingredient explanations
• Product and ingredient analysis
• Health, efficacy, natural, organic, source, or processing-related signals
• Saved products, scan history, and related features

Isles is an informational tool. Isles does not provide medical advice, dermatological advice, allergy advice, cosmetic safety advice, legal advice, or professional product recommendations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Isles. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Isles only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Informational Use Only

Isles provides general information about products and ingredients. The information shown in Isles may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or based on imperfect scans, product labels, third-party data, automated processing, or AI-generated analysis.

You should not rely on Isles as your only source of information when making decisions about health, allergies, skin conditions, pregnancy, medications, sensitivities, medical treatment, cosmetic safety, or product suitability.

5. No Medical, Dermatological, or Allergy Advice

Isles does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any medical condition. Isles does not determine whether a product is safe for you personally.

6. AI and Automated Results

Isles may use AI, machine learning, OCR, natural language processing, and other automated tools to process product scans, images, ingredient text, and product information.

Automated results may be wrong. Ingredient labels may be misread. Products may be misidentified. Ingredients may be classified incorrectly. Explanations may omit context. Product formulations may change.

7. User Content and Product Submissions

You may upload, scan, paste, submit, or otherwise provide content to Isles, including product images, label images, ingredient lists, product names, brand names, notes, searches, and feedback (“User Content”).

Do not submit private, confidential, personal, sensitive, unlawful, misleading, harmful, or infringing content.

8. License to User Content

By submitting User Content to Isles, you grant Meadow Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, modify, adapt, display, publish, distribute, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your User Content to provide and operate Isles and to improve the product database and related systems.

9. Shared Product Database

Isles may use submitted scans, product images, ingredient lists, product names, and related analysis to build and maintain a shared product database. Product information submitted by one user may be used to help other users search, view, or analyze the same or similar products.

10. Accounts

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

11. Subscriptions and Paid Features

Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the applicable app store and are subject to that store’s payment terms, refund rules, cancellation process, and subscription policies.

12. Acceptable Use

• Do not use Isles for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
• Do not upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or extract the Isles database except as permitted by law.
• Do not interfere with or disrupt Isles or its infrastructure.
• Do not circumvent access controls, subscription limits, security measures, or usage restrictions.
• Do not use Isles to build a competing product or database without permission.
• Do not misrepresent product information or submit intentionally false scans or ingredient lists.
• Do not use automated systems to access Isles without permission.

13. Intellectual Property

Isles, including its software, design, branding, logos, product database, analysis systems, text, graphics, features, and other content, is owned by Meadow Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

14. Product Information and Third-Party Content

Product names, brand names, trademarks, images, ingredients, labels, and related information may belong to their respective owners. Isles is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any product manufacturer, retailer, or brand unless expressly stated.

15. Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, or recommendations, you grant Meadow Labs the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

16. Changes to Isles

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue Isles or any feature at any time. We may also limit certain features, impose usage restrictions, or change how scans, saved products, analysis, subscriptions, or database features work.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Isles if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk or liability, abused the service, or used Isles in a way that harms Meadow Labs, users, or third parties.

18. Disclaimers

Isles is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meadow Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and safety.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meadow Labs and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost revenue, personal injury, product misuse, allergic reactions, skin reactions, purchasing decisions, or reliance on inaccurate product or ingredient information.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meadow Labs and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from or related to your use of Isles, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party rights, or your misuse of product or ingredient information.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.

22. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us first at support@getisles.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

23. App Store Terms

If you downloaded Isles from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use of Isles may also be subject to the applicable app store’s terms and policies.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by other reasonable means. Continued use of Isles after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
